Recruitment process:

The recruitment has four stages- CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT, and Document Verification.

  • CBT 1 is the first stage of the RRB NTPC exam and is common for both undergraduate and graduate posts.
  • The exam consists of three sections – Mathematics (30 questions, 30 marks), General Intelligence & Reasoning (30 questions, 30 marks), and General Awareness (40 questions, 40 marks).
  • Candidates have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the entire CBT 1 paper.
  • There is a provision for negative marking, and one-third of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

  • CBT 2 is the second stage of the RRB NTPC exam, and it has a different difficulty level compared to CBT 1.
  • The exam has three sections – Mathematics (35 questions, 35 marks), Reasoning (35 questions, 35 marks), and General Intelligence & General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks).
  • Similar to CBT 1, candidates have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the CBT 2 paper.
  • Negative marking is applicable in CBT 2 as well, with one-third of the marks allotted to a question deducted for incorrect responses.
  • Qualifying CBT 2 is crucial for proceeding to the next stages of the RRB NTPC selection process.
